NON-WV RESIDENTS WHO CURRENTLY HOLD A WV LICENSE
OPTION 1:
You may continue to renew your WV license using the existing renewal process. If your home state is not an active member of the Compact, you must continue to renew your WV license if you wish to practice in WV.
The renewal fee for a two year WV license is $120 for OT and $100 for OTA.
OPTION 2:
IF your home state is an ACTIVE member of the Compact, you may choose to let your current WV license expire, obtain a license in your home state (if you do not currently have one), and purchase a privilege to practice in WV through the OT Compact Commission.
Your privilege to practice in WV will expire with your home state license and must be re-purchased through the OT Compact Commission to continue to practice in WV. Privileges to practice DO NOT renew automatically upon renewal of your home state license.
Fees to purchase a privilege to practice include a $75 fee paid to the OT Compact Commission plus a WV state fee of $50, for a total of $125 each time purchased.
**OT PRACTITIONERS MAY CONTINUE TO HOLD A LICENSE TO PRACTICE IN ANY STATE UNDER EXISTING LICENSURE LAWS, WITHOUT JOINING THE COMPACT.**
